Juan Carlos Pastor
Professor Organizational Behavior, Instituto de Empresa
Juan Carlos Pastor is Professor of Organizational Behavior and Human Resources and Director of the Center for Global Leadership at the Instituto de Empresa. He teaches courses on Organizational Behavior, Leadership, and Managing People Skills. Previously, he taught Management Behavior in the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. He is Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the State University of New York at Buffalo and was a Visiting Fulbright Scholar at Harvard University. He earned an M.A. in Social Psychology from Clark University and a BA in Psychology from the University Autonoma of Madrid. Juan-Carlos' research interests include a social psychological approach to leadership that emphasizes the cognitions and social environments of both leaders and followers. His research on leadership has been published in The Academy of Management Journal, Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Environment and Behavior, Best Paper Proceedings of the Academy of Management, The Diffusion and Consumption of Business Knowledge (J.L. Alvarez, Ed.), and Diversity in Work Teams: Selected Research (Ruderman, Hughes-James, & Jackson, Eds.). His work has received a nationwide competitive award from the Center for Creative Leadership.
