Holly Raider has been at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business since 2001, where she designs, plans, and implements custom corporate
education programs in the areas of leadership and organization change. Prior to her work at Chicago Booth, Holly was an assistant professor of Organizational Behavior at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.
As the Executive Education Client-Faculty Liaison, Holly’s responsibilities include client needs assessments, advising corporations on executive development, design of pedagogically sound education programs tightly aligned with client objectives and strategy, and program assessment. In addition to her work with corporate clients, Holly teaches executives in several Chicago Booth open-enrollment programs, including Strategic Business Leadership, Building and Implementing Growth Strategies, Chicago Management Institute, and the Chicago Executive Institute.
Holly’s teaching approach emphasizes the business application of academic theory and research. Her courses are highly interactive, analytical, and designed for the seasoned senior executive who is interested in developing more leadership agility. She uses an engaging mix of teaching materials, and is recognized by participants for creating a dynamic learning environment and for assuring clear explanations and practical application. Additionally, Holly
is sought after by our international clients for her effective communication skills with audiences of diverse language and cultural backgrounds. Additionally,
Holly also consults for Global Fortune 500 corporate clients helping senior executives and leadership teams think strategically and execute complex organization change. She has worked in the United States, Asia, South America, and Europe with clients from numerous businesses, including financial services, aerospace, food services, and manufacturing. Holly has published research on career development, economic transactions, and technology management. Holly holds a B.A. from Barnard College and a Ph.D. in sociology from Columbia University. From 1993-1998 she was a scholar at the Interuniversity Center for Social Science Theory and Methodology in Groningen, Netherlands. She is a member of the American Sociological Association, The Strategic Management Society, and The Academy of Management.
Holly has two children, Thomas (age 12) and Henry (age 10) and she is an active volunteer for education non-profit organizations. |
