Faculty Steven D'Souza
GSMP Orchestrator, IE Business School

Steven D’Souza is a Vice President in Global Wealth Management (Private Banking) of a top tier international bank responsible for managing Diversity and Inclusion across the EMEA region. He is also an Executive Fellow and member of the Corporate Learning Group, IE Business School, Madrid.

Previously Steven was HR Consultant to the Abbey Banking Group (Grupo Santander) and before that a group Human Resources Manager for Radisson Edwardian Luxury Hotels in the UK. Steven was sponsored by the Home Office on the Windsor Fellowship Leadership Programme for Undergraduates of which he later became Programme Director and Business Development Manager. He has coached delegates in leadership and management competencies on behalf of various companies including the BBC, Goldman Sachs and the Foreign Office.

Steven has extensive experience in working with young people in education and also working with staff groups in employment. He has also worked with those seeking employment and students excluded from mainstream education. He has served as an Assessor for the Home Office Network and the Probation Service Network and has been a regular writer for publications such as the Independent ’Opportunity’ Magazine, Smaart Talent and also Hobsons ’Career Guides’. In 2005 a book Steven co-authored called ’Made in Britain’ about positive role models was published by Pearson (Prentice Hall). It has now sold over 9,000 copies and was personally presented to Prince Charles at Clarence House.

In 2008 Steven published his second book ’Brilliant Networking’, Pearson (Prentice Hall), which reached the no 1 business book on Amazon and was featured nationally in the Independent newspaper’s ’Success at Work’ series.

Steven has spoken at various conferences and events around the world including Cambridge University Business School, IE Business School, Business in the Community, Windsor Fellowship Graduation, the Royal Society of Arts and the World Diversity Leadership Summit, Prague and at the ILO United Nations Conference in London. Companies Steven has spoken to regarding networking include Goldman Sachs, Accenture, UBS and Price Waterhouse Coopers.

Steven’s passions include traveling, coaching and volunteer work. He has volunteered on projects in India and in Indonesia and spent two years after his A-levels working as a youth leader, in an Alzheimer’s Disease Unit and with the homeless in Westminster.

Steven is also a qualified teacher of English as a Foreign Language, a Master Practitioner of NLP, a certified facilitator of Covey’s 7 Habits, and is committed to working with others to fulfill their potential. Steven is also a Liveryman in the City of London and is completing an advanced degree in Organisation Consulting at Ashridge Business School.
