Participants
The program is aimed at members of the management committee and administrative councils, presidents, company owners, managing directors, vice presidents, negotiations directors, country managers and other senior managers who are responsible for strategic vision with an international focus. Participants will be carefully selected in order to form a group with similar concerns, while maintaining a balanced mix of business sectors, international vision and cultures. The main admission criteria encompasses professional career to date, present level of responsibility in the company and interest in expanding international vision.
Why did I choose an "upgrade" training and why was it in a school abroad? Nowadays, the technological revolution inherent in the business world caused that the way to manage a business is getting more and more global. The borders have become closer and easier to overcome, and the way of doing business is increasingly global when it is enhanced by information-technology. The business world is global and we must seek it, know it, understand it in order to be able to make correct and proper decisions. Therefore, it is becoming more important to share international experiences, create a "network" which help us in this process. This reality is based on a increasing speed of development with product life cycles getting shorter. What was yesterday, it is not today. This is perhaps the main reason why we decide to start an "upgrade" training and look for an international school with a proven ranking of quality that permit us to achieve this objective. Only with an international school we can understand better the global world of business, find, share and get new experiences that build a knowledge network which helps us to improve our decision-making process.
The answer is a lot, when I mean a lot, is not only knowledge but also relationships, networks, partnerships, etc The structure of the program allows to go beyond the simple pedagogical monitoring. The issues such as "networking", knowledge sharing, self-knowledge and attitude, with access to a relevant set of new tools are perhaps the most important inputs for my experience. Summing up, what I can say about my experience is: Testimony – It was a "moment" ! It was extremely enriching!
Joao Pereira de Almeida
EDP Valor - Gestão Integrada de Serviços, S.A. DLM Direcção "What I have gotten from this experience is that the world is really flat. It doesn't matter if you're working for a big or small company; it is a world of communications; a world of competition. The people from these two business schools really know what they are doing; they present to you how the world is changing." “This is probably the best investment I’ve ever made. The networks you build, the quality of the professors, the professionalism of the staff and the wonderful facilities, make this program really interesting.” “Two weeks of my time very well invested in absorbing knowledge from great professors and class-mates.” "I think the Global Senior Management Program is quite excellent. The quality of the participants and of the professors was above my expectations. I highly recommend it to other executives from around the world. Quite international outlook, great learning experience." "A great opportunity for networking. I have learned a lot from both participants from other countries and very qualified professors." “Attending this program is a great opportunity to be exposed to the “cream of the cream”. I have met many CEO’s and General Managers with a lot of experience and a lot to share. For me the learning process was really meeting these people, networking and communicating with them.” "My objective for joining this program was to broaden my skills. I want to say how much the course has exceeded my expectations. I was particularly impressed by the quality of teaching and variety of topics covered. I have met people from all over the world and I have enjoyed the breadth of experience they bring with them and their contribution to the group."
